Camps Environmental Services (CES) Ltd provide a range of arboricultural, landscape and environmental consultancy services to UK clients from our bases in Hampshire, Wales and the Midlands.

Our history

CES Ltd is a small professional consultancy formed in 2015 to provide arboricultural, landscape and environmental consultancy services to UK clients for both the public and private sectors.

 

Our consultants in Hampshire and Bedfordshire provide expertise and professional advice across a range of disciplines based on knowledge, experience and training. Qualifications held within CES ltd include BSc, MSc, CEnv and MICFor.

 

CES Ltd maintains healthy collaborative relationships with its clients and supply chain who can provide specialist services from arboriculture and grass cutting to EPS specialists, Landscape architects, ecological and heritage professionals.

Martin Osman
Managing Director
Arboricultural and Landscape Manager

Senior Landscape Manager and Chartered Arboriculturist with a wide range of experience for managing and consulting on large estates, highways and street tree situations. 

 

Martin is knowledgeable in all aspects of treescapes and their care. He is able to provide sound practical advice on project design and management, legislation, contract procurement and management, health and safety, biodiversity and sustainability.

Jim Macpherson
Financial Director

Jim has worked continuously in the construction industry for 30 years. He has attained a degree in Engineering Surveying, an ONC and a HNC in Civil Engineering and a NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management.  

 

Jim has been Financial Director for CES Ltd since its establishment, bringing a wealth of experience to the role from aspects of the construction, landscape and sports turf industries.

Ruth Frith
 Environmental Manager

Senior environmental professional and Chartered Environmentalist with a range of experience within the rail, road and construction industry.

 

Ruth has managed environmental assessment for varying highways maintenance contracts, coordinated multidisciplinary teams, and led on delivery of environmental studies and schemes.  She has been sustainability lead at a corporate and contract level.

Carol Castlo
Arboricultural and Landscape Manager

Arboriculturist and Landscape Manager and with a wide range of experience: tree surgery, contracts and asset management for large estates, highways and local authorities, business parks and street tree situations.

Carol is experienced tree and landscape inspector.  She can provide reports and sound practical advice on design, project management, legislation, health and safety, invasive weed control and biodiversity.

Mary Henley
Office Manager

Mary has a variety of experience in administration, business change management and auditing.

Mary is a qualified auditor and her role includes managing our administration and marketing, auditing, maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System and continuously improving our processes.  Mary also enjoys assisting on site when needed.

Sophie Field
Environmental Consultant

Environmental consultant with experience including Environmental assessments, Habitat Regulation Assessments and SSSI Management plans. Sophie delivers various types of reports including environmental feasibility studies, research studies and technical reports.  Sophie is an efficient project manger, manging all aspects of project delivery, client liaison and management of specialist support and engagement with Statutory Environmental Bodies and stakeholders.

 

Sophie is experienced in Phase 1 Habitat surveys and a range of protected species surveys. Sophie holds a Class 1 Great Crested Newt Survey license and is working towards obtaining a Dormouse Class Licence (Level 1). Sophie is a Graduate member of CIEEM, working towards Associate Level, trained in QGIS and has experience using the BNG Metric 2.0.

Emily Bancroft
Arboricultural Consultant

Arboricultural Consultant with over 23 years experience in the Arb industry. Working from a climbing arborist to running a tree surgery company, then onto being a contracts manager for a local Hampshire firm, leading to a tree officer role in London Borough of Sutton, then to Arb consultant level.

  

Richard has a broad range of experience in tree surveying, capturing data on GIS software, including the management of the projects. Up to date with the latest pest and diseases, health and safety and legislation. Providing professional advice on all aspects of Arboriculture.  

Experienced Environmental Consultant working for both private and public sectors working in multidisciplinary as well as dedicated Environmental Assessments teams. Emily is knowledgeable in Environmental Assessments (Terrestrial), site inspection, supervision, site audits and tree surveys, report writing, scheme design and liaison with contractors, clients, technical leads and designers.

 

Emily has previously worked on projects from design stage all the way through to construction completion, providing guidance and specialist advice on environmental compliance throughout all stages and to all stakeholders. She is currently working on achieving her Level 3 Arb Diploma and obtaining her Practitioner membership with IEMA.

Lynne Morris
Company Secretary

Lynne has over a decade of experience in the role of Company Secretary with previous positions in insurance and national housebuilding.

 

Her current role includes cost control, cashflows, budgeting, maintaining the Integrated Management System to OHSAS18001, ISO9001 and ISO14001 and administering the Health & Safety procedures and paperwork.

Amanda Talbert
Accounts Administrator

Sue joined Camps Highways in 2012, and from 2015 also took the role as Accounts Administrator for CES. 

Not only does she manage payroll - she also provides the entertainment! Outside of work, Sue is a keen walker and fundraiser for a variety of charities - including treks in Nepal and Cambodia.

Amanda has a wide range of experience in Administration, Customer Service and Document Control.   

As well as supporting the wider team her roles include ensuring documentation and processes are up to date, reviewing and arranging training records and arranging events.

She is currently studying towards a BSc (Honours) in Environmental Science and hoping to qualify by 2021.
